Samsung Galaxy S IV by Rahul Sharma.(concept phones)
The device sports a polycarbonate body with a 7 mm waistline, so it’s slimmer than the Samsung Galaxy S III, iPhone 5 and Motorola Droid RAZR. It weighs 117 grams and runs Android 4.2 Key Lime Pie. An interesting idea that Rahul Sharma implemented is the touch control via scrolling sensors on the side for menu navigation. The device uses virtual Android keys and seems like a very wide unit, that would fit speculations saying the Galaxy S IV will have a 5 inch display.
In this vision it does have that diagonal, but also a HD S-OLED display with Full HD resolution and the option to switch between 2D and 3D displaying. The back of the smartphone is very simple and somehow reminds me of the Nexus 7, particularly if the line above the Samsung logo is a speaker, as I think it is. The Home button is till present, with a shape that reminds me of the Galaxy Note II and Galaxy S III. If you pay attention to the profile of the Samsung Galaxy S IV concept youll see the edges of the handset are slightly curved.
Also notice the gentle curve of the upper and lower part of the smartphone that ends in an almost pointy manner. Quite an interesting design and the only thing I don’t quite like is the back camera area. How about you?
Rahul’s Samsung Galaxy S IV features a polycarbonate body with a 7 mm thick waistline and it weighs 117 grams. It also has pentaband connectivity, LTE, WiMax connectivity and touch sensitive controls with scrolling sensors on the side for menu navigation. Android 4.2 Key Lime Pie is the OS of choice here, powered by a 2 GHz Exynos 5 quad core processor and 2.5 GB of DDR3 RAM. At the back we find a 13.1 megapixel camera with autofocus, 4x physical zoom lenses and 3 point LED flash. There’s also a dual 2 megapixel camera for 3D video calls and gesture tracking, placed at the front of the handset.
On the connectivity side, this concept offers WiFi, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, wireless charging and heat charging via the PowerFelt technology. The screen uses electro sensitive touch technology, great for peek and preview functions and gaming graphics. Finally, we get a 3600 mAh Li-Ion battery with enhanced 1000 charge cycles for extra resilience. Speech to text, audio browsing, stereo FM radio, accelerometer, barometer and gyroscope are all on board as well. As far as Samsung proprietary functions are concerned, we’ve got S Vision (augmented reality, S Voice 2 (new voice assistant), S Play (new gaming service) and S Surround (Samsung sound immersion technology).
This one is a fantastic and futuristic design from Rahul Sharma and I’m looking forward to see other designs of the Samsung Galaxy S IV like this one. Congrats Rahul!
