We all knew that is just a matter of time when Google will go on offensive against Apple, specially because they do have enough ammunition to seriously hurt tech Giant. This just happened and it is related with Chrome that can be found on iOS.
There is a way that the links users have in iOS could be opened directly in Chrome and not to go through iOS default browser. It is just a matter of time when all the applications that are made by Google will start to open links and similar stuff directly in Chrome and not in iOS default. If you do have installed Google’s browser on your Apple device you will be able to notice this.
One of the interesting things will be to see if other app developers will follow Google and change the way their links are opened and which browser is used. This could deliver a serious blow to Apple. One of the reasons why this might not happen is the past relations between Google and other major app developers that bring most traffic like Facebook and Twitter. Because of this there is a good chance that both Twitter and FB will remain neutral or even go to Apple’s side.
There are their apps and possibilities for Google to find partners and both Flipboard and Pinterest might be the ones that could get into this battle. Again, it is highly unlikely that Pinterest will be able to afford powerful enemy like Apple because they are still new and fresh network that is rapidly developing.
It is still unclear and no one knows how much this could affect Apple and what ti could bring to Google. There are some interesting possibilities and we might see few changes on the market if this continues. There is allot of room for various speculations but we will need to wait little longer to see how will this end and to see the reactions from both companies and their partners.
